1) Beard Ski*
The king of all ski masks the Beard ski not only keeps you warm but makes you look awesome. I got mine 4/5 years ago and it is still going strong. It has a Velcro fastening at the back so you can have it as tight or loose as you like and comes in a variety of styles.

2) GoPro*
Did you really go down that black if you haven't got the video? A GoPro or any other action cam is a great way of documenting your holiday without worrying about the weather or smashing your phone screen. I recommend the new GoPro Hero 7 Black. It has in camera digital stabilisation comparable to a gimbal meaning your videos look buttery smooth.

3) External Hard Drive*
With all those videos and pictures you need something to put them onto. A laptop works fine but having the external hard drive to back up your images will save you if your laptop breaks or decides to delete all your images, like mine did! Luckily I was able to use software to recover them however I've now got my self a hard drive to save the head ache in the future.

4) Camelbak*
Skiing is hard work. You need to stay hydrated to make sure you maximise your time on the slopes and getting a bottle out of your bag every stop can get frustrating, especially if you are carrying everyone else's water. Instead get yourself a bag which supports a hydration pouch, then all you need to do is suck the straw but make sure your bag has an insulated sleeve for the hose otherwise it freezes very quickly!

5) Beanie and Sunglasses*
When you are skiing your helmet does a great job at keeping your head warm and your goggles do a great job of dimming down that sun but when you want to sit outside at lunch make sure to have a beanie and sunglasses to make it warmer and less blinding. Even though it may not seem that bright the snow reflects the light and UV and is very punishing on your eyes with prolonged exposure leading to sun burnt eyes or even snow blindness.
